Sorrento, like all the towns on the Amalfi Coast is full of southern Italian charm and makes an enjoyable location for a holiday or as a base from which to visit the region. Indeed Sorrento has long been a lure to visitors, as according to ancient Greek legend Sorrento was known as the Temple of the Sirens and these Sirens would lead sailors to their death by their beautiful song.

Luckily today holiday makers need not fear such an outcome but the appeal of Sorrento is unchanged, being as charming and beautiful as ever.
