Sorrento Transport

There are various modes of transportation in Sorrento.

Bus
SITA buses serve Sorrento going along the Amalfi coast and to Naples, leaving from the Circumvesuviana train station.

Tickets can be bought in the local bars or at kiosk’s.

Buses for cities within Italy and in Europe mainly leave from Naples.

Trains
The Circumvesviana trains depart every 30 minutes from Naples and take about an hour to get to Sorrento. See the website for timetable details.

National trains run from Naples, both to the north and the south.

Sorrento Ferry

Sorrento is easily reached by sea, having many ferries and hydrofoils which connect it to Naples, Capri, Ischia and other towns along the coast.

Ferries leave from Marina Piccola. Linee Marittime Partenopee has around 10 hydrofoils daily to Capri and others going to Naples. Caremar has hydrofoil and ferry services to Capri. Alilauro also runs hydrofoils to various destinations.
